upgrading to WP premium package…
-
i currently have a WP blog and am making another that i intend to use as a small biz website and wondered if i upgrade to the premium package ($99/yr), would the benefits of this apply to only one of my blogs or the entire account and therefore all future blogs/websites???
thanks to anyone that can help

Each upgrade or bundle or premium purchase applies only to one blog. With the exception of premium themes, all such purchases are good for one year on one blog.

thanks raincoaster.
do you know if ‘plugins’ become available with this premium package as well? or how to get them if not… -
They do not. The only program here that allows plugins is the $30,000 a year VIP program, for companies like CNN and so on.
If you insist on plugins, you need to buy paid hosting elsewhere, buy a domain name for it, install software from WordPress.org, and blog away at that address. But if you just want to accomplish some things, tell us what things specifically and we can usually find a workaround for that which works here.

good to know, thanks again.
last Q for the time being, small scale e-commerce options within the blog/site (i.e. a couple or three products linked to paypal maybe)
is that possible in anyway at the premium level? (definitely without moving up to the installing software from the .org etc, as that would be beyond my capabilities sadly) -
Provided you design and manufacture the items, it is possible using the Paypal Buy It Now button. Otherwise, no, it would be a violation of the Terms of Service.

If you need a site that requires a custom theme or plugins — e.g., if you want to be able to sell things directly from your site and want an ecommerce site with shopping cart, or if you want to install discussion forums — a self-hosted WordPress site might be right for you.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

On free hosted WordPress.com blog we can use a contact form and/or a PayPal button for sale of only products or services created or provided by ourselves.

I am taking over the maintenance of a WP.com blog. I have the username and pw to maintain the blog itself. However, I also enrolled for a wp.com support account. How does the support account know which blog is mine? Is there somewhere I enter that information? my blog is http://www.wvbat.com
