Upgrating Newspaper 7 Theme

  I am currently using the Newspaper 7 theme for many of my blogs. However, I’d like to upgrade to Newspaper 9. Can this be done simply via an update, or does a brand new theme need to be purchased?

  Just trying to upgrade my blogs as easily as possible.

  We own a bunch of blogs, but they all use the same theme.

  Thanks, Kyle. That site is at GoDaddy, and these forums are actually for the sites here at WordPress.com. It’s a bit different. I think your best bet in this case is to reach out to the folks you bought NewsPaper 7 from, and ask them about upgrade pricing.

  Thanks for your help!

  My main question though, which maybe you might know, is if I wanted Newspaper 9, do you think it would be a simple update, or would it be like buying a brand new theme where all content would have to be migrated?

  Simply want a newer theme, but doing so in an efficient manner.

  Personally, I’d imagine it’s like any major software upgrade: some give the upgrade for free, some upgrade at a price, and others have you purchase the new version outright. But I don’t know… we have our own premium theme shop here, so we really don’t do business with them.

  They’ll know the answer for you though if you get in touch with them. Good luck!
