  I trying to see if there is another way to upload a theme without going to a business plan? I DO NOT want everything that comes with the business plan. The Premium plan will work for me and it seems completely crazy that I need to spend an extra $204 just because I want to upload a ZIP for a theme.

  Please help with this. It is completely inappropriate. Especially since I could not find that information out before I bought a theme. Only when I went to upload the theme I had purchased, did I find out that it would cost $300. That is not ok and it is scammer behavior.

  How can you make this right?

  Hi @herreraelyse, outside code like plugins and outside themes complicate the managed services we’re offering, so we require the Business Plan if you need to install a plugin or theme. Our service includes SSL hosting, direct WordPress support, spam protection, backups, maintenance, security, and other services and features that don’t come with the free software. Basically, as a service, we’ll have your back in ways that the free software itself cannot.

  Or, you are welcome to use your own free copy of WordPress with another host, and use community resources or hired contractors if you don’t have time to take care of security, spam filtering, backups, support, and maintenance yourself.
