upload a new theme, no 'add new' button
-
Dear Support people,
I’ve got a website (www.dianthaspekman.com) and I decided to upgrade it to a professional level. Therefore I downloaded a theme (port) from http://www.themetrust.com.
I want to upload and use this theme, but according to all sorts of tutorials I need to upload the .zip file first in admin–>appearences–>themes—>add new theme. Unfortunately there is no ‘add theme’ button or option.. :(Could you please help me by explaining how I can use the theme i purchased?
Thank you very much in advance!
(and merry X-mas!)kind regards,
Diantha SpekmanThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All premium themes sold by WordPress.COM are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software only. To purchase a copy of the Port theme that is licensed and coded to run on WordPress.ORG software you need to contact the theme designer directly at Theme Trust. The same can be said of support for that theme ie.- we do not provide it here.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.

re: http://dianthaspekman.com/
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.Relevant support docs:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes that.
