‘Upload a site icon’ obstructs stat view
-
When I open my https://sjohnru.wordpress.com/ stat page, I see huge ‘Upload a site icon’ block, which obstructs stat view.
The first, I actually do have site icon assigned.
The second, OK, I am ready to repeat the site icon assign, just to get rid of nuisance.
But I just hangs in process.I believe, it is obvious bug, please fix it. I have standard powerful Intel/HP computer, fast disks with a lot of free space, a lot of RAM, fast Internet connection in the very heart of Silicon Valley, standard fresh Windows 10 and standard fresh Chrome.

Yes, annoying isn’t it. It also tells me I need a tagline when I’ve already got one. I don’t think this new “Upload a site icon” message blocks your view of the stats though. But it’s yet another reason for me to continue with the wp-admin/classic dashboard (You may have a wp-admin link bottom left. If not add /wp-admin/index.php?page=stats to the end of your site address).
PS: I have added the modlooktag to ask staff why it’s asking to set up a site icon when we already have them. -
It will be annoying in a week.)) Just yesterday I could observe stats of my sites with just a single click. As of today I consider it as true obstructing. I click to stat and see uninformative garbage.

I don’t like clicking the ‘Do it now’ boxes when I’m not sure what it’s all about. Hopefully somebody from WordPress can explain. As far as I’m aware I have a site icon, tag line etc.

Even if I can manage to sort out the Site Icon and tagline issues I don’t want a Contact page and have no plans to Register a custom domain so I’ll never get to what WordPress.com now considers to be a 100% setup. Will I consequently forever be encouraged to “Do it” ?
