Upload a theme

  Hello, I’ve bought a theme from envato market and I’m trying to upload it, but can’t seem to find the upload button. I go to themes – appearance then there is no upload button. PLEASE help! Thank you.

  That button exists only on wordpress.ORG software installs. It does not exist on wordpress.COM hosted blogs like https://hiltondoubletreewedding.wordpress.com/

  You cannot upload any custom themes or third party themes or create your own theme here at wordpress.COM. You can do that only on wordpress.ORG installs on paid hosting.

  There is no FTP access to wordpress.COM hosted blogs like that site linked to your username and no upgrade changes that reality.

  The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes

  There is no upgrade you can buy here that changes that.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   For a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

  I have the same issue. I have the premium plan on WP and I am hosted by Bluehost. From my control panel, I can’t see the button to upload a theme and I can’t see the “plugin” menu anymore.

  I have contacted Bluehost, they ask me to check with WordPress.

  From WP.org, i can see the forum but can’t find a solution. @timethief: how can I access my control panel from WordPress.org ?

  http://roadtrippingasia.com/ – is hosted on WordPress.COM – so no upload themes – it is not hosted on Blue Host
