upload area to add pictures not there

Under the box where you would write a new post should be an area to upload files, like pictures. This area only shows up about 30% of the time for me. It’s very frustrating. I tried doing it all day, all of a sudden it showed up, I was able to load up pics for a new post. Then I wanted to do another and I can’t get it back again. Is there a problem or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for changing the link on your name; the blog I saw earlier was about homeschooling and the academy. It’ll make things easier if you have any future problems.
Here’s something to try. Assuming with at least one of these posts you gave up in (understandable) frustration and simply saved it, go to Manage>Posts, filter for drafts and open it from there by clicking edit. Sometimes the editor loads faster that way and it might work.
If the problem persists, contact support by using the support tab in your dashboard during the hours support is open: 8a-4p Pacific.

Ellaella that didn’t work.
I’m trying in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
The upload box for pics should come up when I write a new post, correct? Or when I edit an old one?
It’s not showing up either time.
Like I said, all day it wouldn’t do it, then all of a sudden it worked, now it won’t again.Is anyone else having this issue?

I don’t believe we’ve seen any similar reports recently.
When the upload box doesn’t appear, what’s there? Is there space for the box that’s filled with something else?

Well, darn. Yes it should appear always. The few times it hasn’t for me has been when I’ve used preview extensively; it seems to use a lot of memory and I had to close and re-open my browser, but if you’ve tried it in IE and FF you’ve probably tried it “fresh” so to speak.
I don’t recall any recent posts about this problem but I’ll admit I haven’t done a forum search on it. Perhaps someone else has an idea, short of contacting support.

I’ve even restarted my computer.
I was hoping it was a wordpress glitch that would be taken care of by today.
There is just nothing there at all. -

I am still having this issue!
Once in a while, the box shows up to load pics, usually it’s not there!
I emailed support and they did nothing as far as I can tell.
