Upload back up file to new site

  Hi there,

  I have my previous site backed up on a file on my computer (previously I was hosted with Bluehost and they advised me to back up my entire website). How do I upload that to this new site?

  You’ll need to Import your site. This page will teach you how to do it. Just follow the steps and you should be fine.

  Hi @sineadsmyth1,

  WordPress.com can only import XML content. If your backup file is not in XML format then first you need to use any tool that can import your backup file format and then export it into XML format.
