Upload extension but error max_size php.init

    Can you help me to upload an extension in wordpress. But i have this error message : ‘The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.’

    I tried to create a file php.init and i added these statements : ‘upload_max_filesize = 128M post_max_size = 128M max_execution_time = 300’

    I re-tried to upload extension but i have the same error message, can you help me please.
