Upload Header -Timeouts???

    Ola! Am new, trying to upload a new header in the ‘Connections’ theme.
    I have resized my photo already using iphoto to 741×142 pixels & saved it to my desktop as a jpg. the file size is 292kb.
    I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but when I go to Custom image header, browse, choose the file (by the way I’ve named it ‘header.jpg’ in case there were too many characters in the name) then press Upload.
    It thinks about it for about 30 sec and then I get the error message:
    “The connection was reset
    The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

    I’m using firefox & there is nothing wrong with my internet connection as I’m browsing other sites at the same time.

    Can anyone help!!!???

    292kb is awefully big. You do realize you’re asking folks on normal dial up lines to download that. It would take over a minute if they had a near perfect connection. I doubt that that would be the cause of the issue. Can you try uploading it like you would do as if were a post just to make sure it gets there?

    OK, I firstly reduced the file size to 8kb. I then tried to upload it through a new post following the steps in the FAQs. When I press upload, a popup window comes up after about 30 sec saying “This website is being redirected to a new location. Would you like ot resend the form dataa you have typed to the new location?”, I press OK. In the window where my pic should be (ie, where I can browse through my uploads) the main wordpress.com webpage is pictured.
    What am I doing wrong??
