upload images

I would like to find some instructions on how to add an image to a post. I looked under FAQ’s and there was a 2 minute screencast offered on how to upload images. Unfortunately, after waiting and waiting, I came to the conclusion that for some reason the screencast was not going to load.
Is there anywhere else I can find step by step instructions?

There are several threads on the issue, many of which have instructions and workarounds. I suggest you click on the threads that say Upload or Images and read through them, since the search function’s not working well right now.

While on the write post page, there is a add media bit just above where you are writing. Click the first one that looks like a photo. Click the upload button, when it is uploaded, go to the media library tab and a mini version of the photo will appear. Click the “show” link that is next to your photo and then scroll down to choose alignment and size. Then click the “Insert into post” button

Precisely I don’t see the “show link” thing on the new WP.

Well, as mentioned, I just created an additional blog, added the Connections template, and did two posts with images. The editor and blog are working fine.
Something is amiss with my original blog. Guess I may as well figure it out and if I do I’ll post what I came up with.
