upload images

I have been trying over the last couple days to upload an image for my site. I have tried uploading directly to the media library and through the page editor. It always just tells me that an error occurred while uploading. I have tried uploading a .jpg and a .jpeg. The file is 469KB, so it should not be too big. I don’t know what is going wrong. Please help!

Hi there,
What kind of image is it, and how was it created? For example, is it a photo directly downloaded from your phone/camera, a photo that was edit in an all like Lightroom or similar before you uploaded it, an image that was created in Illustrator or similar, etc?
If clearing your cache or using a different browser as suggested above also doesn’t work, see if opening your file in an image editor and re-exporting it as a new file makes any difference. I’m thinking there might be something wrong with how the file is encoded, in which case regenerating it might make a difference.

Thank you! I was FINALLY able to get it to work!
Oddly enough, resaving the file from the original editing program (paint) is what did it! I’m not sure why, considering I had tried converting it to various file types (jpg, jpeg, png, etc); however I had been using windows “Photos” for the conversions. *shrug*
