Upload Limit

    Hi,

I know there is a limit for uploading media of 3.0 GB (photos, audio, video, etc.) on a blog. In an effort to avoid reaching that limit, I thought of creating another blog/site for different sections of my blog (e.g. part A-M will be in one blog and part N-Z in another blog). However, I’m wondering, since I am using the same account/email for both blogs, do I get 3.0 GB upload quota for each blog (making it 6.0 GB total), or do I get only 3.0 GB upload quota for both blogs? Because I was thinking if it’s the latter there’s no use making another blog.

I did a quick search but couldn’t find a similar question, but I may have missed it. I’m sorry if I asked a repetitive question, and thanks in advance! Hope to hear from you soon.

  • Hi there,

Every blog gets 3GB of space. Even if you’re the owner of two different blogs, each of them are treated as a separate entity.

On a personal side note, if I can leave my two cents, if you don’t have any fancy requirements about images resolution, you may think of reducing their size to spare some storage space.
Moreover, you may also want to use other spaces (ie Flickr, Dropbox etc) to store some of your data and then linking them to your blog.
I know it’s not ideal but they’re all free ways of saving some space on the blog.

Ultimately, if you feel there’s too much stuff to get stored and so little space to use, you might think of upgrading to the Premium plan. .

Hope all the info are useful to you :)
    Cheers!
