Upload Limits
-
I am loading videos up to my site. I am using 2016 but am just changing my network and indivisual sites over to Divi, paid for, and I keep coming up against a 120MB limit for my site. I have checked with my hosting company and they say there is no restriction on my uploads (I have used this hoster for 10 years now and know they are good and reliable). How can I increase my upload limit to my sites please. Jack.

your uploads size depend on value in php.ini file. Ask your provider for upload_max_filesize, memory_limit and post_max_size value. You need 120MB upload_max_size and bigger value on memory_limit and post_max_filesize. PHP is set to allow uploads of files with a size of 2MB or less by default.
example:
memory_limit = 140M
upload_max_filesize = 120M
post_max_size = 140M -
Thanks for this input, much appreciated. I spoke with my hoster several weeks ago and they said they had removed all restrictions on the php side. As I said originally these are a very good team and I have had nothing but brilliant service from them for years now so no reason to doubt them. I have been struggling with this problem for months now, prefer to try and sort things out myself and do the research, and only came to the forum out of desperation. After posting, as these things go, I kept working checking all my network settings, everything I could see but was still getting the 120 MB limit coming up when I tried to load a video. Then I had a moment of the old counter intuitive insight and thought what if I try to upload a video in GMedia rather than Flowplayer. And guess what, 178 MB loaded without an issue. I don’t like it as I want consistency across my sites and I have been a user of FlowPlayer since 2006, way before I came across to WP. But it works, and I can get large video files up and they play!!! Why they don’t load and get a site limit upload of 120MB on FP is a mystery but it does prove my php is not the problem. Anyway, many thanks for your help, really appreciated. Jack.
