Upload New Theme

  Hey,

  I’m looking to upload a new external purchased theme, but all of the tutorials are for the old wordpress. Does anyone know how to install a theme into 2016 version?

  All those tutorials you’re looking at refer to WordPress.org. Here at WordPress.com you can’t install your “new external purchased theme”. You choose to activate one of the 372 free or premium themes available here.
