Upload of custom theme

  I was trying to upload a Airtheme by Cleanblogg, and it said that ‘By proceeding you’ll lose 1 feature’ (followed by mention of ‘Follow Button’). However, it also says that ‘Business plan required’.

  So if I want to upload a theme myself, do I ‘lose 1 feature’ or do I need to pay for the Business plan?

  There is no FTP access to sites hosted by WordPress.COM. https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/ You cannot upload any third party or custom themes into a WordPress.COM hosted site unless you have a Business Plan http://wordpress.com/pricing

  The Business upgrade includes:
  • Google analytics

  • SEO Tools https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo-tools/
  • The ability to install most plugins https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ including woocommerce and the ability to install third party themes. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#uploading-custom-themes

  Otherwise see here https://wordpress.com/themes/ for the only themes that can be used on WordPress.COM hosted sites without a Business plan upgrade.

  A WordPress.com Business Plan is required to upload a custom theme.

  In addition to the over 340 themes available on WordPress.com, WordPress.com Business allows you to upload your own custom theme.
