Upload Photo to Side bar Front Static Page

It has been a while since I have added a photo to the sidebar on a static front page. Can you direct me as to how to upload a photo to ultimately end up on the sidebar? It is a logo type photo and the other potential photo is a recent photo for updating the site per se, thanks!

Yikes! This image is HUGE!

The image has to be small enough to fit into the sidebar in either an image widget or in text widget. See here for sidebar width on your theme http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/sidebar-width/
