Upload photos
-
Since I write my blog with the new version of editor (I used the classic version for a long time), all my post’s photos couldn’t show up.
I upload all my photos to the blog from my google photos and share to the blog. Did I miss any steps or I made something wrong?
Please, can someone help me? -
Hi there,
Can you tell us the URL of the site you’re working on, and give a link to a specific post that’s not showing all the photos it should?
Are the photos missing in the editor, or only on the post itself after you’ve published it?

Hi,
https://wordpress.com/home/matchamochimoo.wordpress.comHere is one of the post that’s not showing up all the photos.
All the photos only not showing up after I have published it.
Thanks for your help!

All the photos only not showing up after I have published it.
I had a look at your post at https://matchamochimoo.wordpress.com/2020/09/28/snow-skin-mooncakes-with-3-fillings-salted-caramel-nutty-cheese-oreo/ in the editor, and it’s showing the filenames for the images in the blocks for me, rather than the images themselves, so I don’t think this is a permissions issue.
If you edit that post, do you still see the images, or do you also see the filenames?
If you see the filenames, follow these steps:
1. Click on the filename (image block)
2. Click Replace in the block toolbar
3. Select Google Photos
4. Re-select the correct image
5. Update the post.Does the photo appear in the post now? Or does it still appear broken?
-
I can still see both the filename and the images when I edit.
I also following your instruction by clicking the replace toolbar and re-select the photos, then update again.
All the photos are showing up public now!
But can you advise me what is the problem I can sort out?Or do I need to replace the images again after publish?
-
It’s hard to tell for sure now that the problem is fixed, but if it happens again, please let us know!

Hi, can anyone help to solve my photos? The problem is happening again!
Do I need to replace each of the photos one by one, once I put the post up afterwards?
Have I downloaded the procedure wrong? -
Ok, I assume you’re referring to https://matchamochimoo.wordpress.com/2020/10/30/vegan-pumpkin-oat-pancakes-gluten-free/ ?
Here’s what I see: https://d.pr/i/6XxGyv
When I view the image directly, it’s also https://d.pr/i/ri24TB
There are three possibilities for this:
1. That _is_ the image. (unlikely)
2. The image has been deleted.
3. The image has not been made publicly available. It’s either 2 or 3.
If you can view it, it’s 3. The image can’t be viewed by the public if it’s not made publicly viewable.
If you can’t view it either, it’s 2. The image must still exist for others to see it.
-
I can view it, but not the public.
So, is that the image has not been made publicly probably?
How can I check it?
Thanks for your quick response! -
Yes, the image must be made publicly viewable in order for it to be viewed by the public. Consult Google’s documentation on that for specifics.

I can see all the images but the public can’t.
So, the image has not been made publicly, right?
How can I check it, and make it public?
Thanks for your quick response! -

Yes, the image must be made publicly viewable in order for it to be viewed by the public. Consult Google’s documentation on that for specifics, as the instructions tend to change often.
