Upload .php file to free WordPress blog

  I am a complete novice at web development, so my question may be poorly worded/lacking in crucial details…

  I have a free WordPress blog. Is there a way to host .php files on this blog and if so, how do I go about uploading them?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can’t upload or change the PHP files for https://alphajournaldownloadbutton.wordpress.com/ – no WordPress.COM blog has FTP access or the ability to change the code – that is a security and reliability issue
