    Hi there,

    I think you might be confusing WordPress.com with WordPress.org; they’re incredibly similar, but they have different pros and cons.

    In the name of simplicity, WordPress.com does not allow its users to upload custom themes; they provide many, many different themes (some for free, some for purchase), so you really have to choose one of those if you’re hosting with WordPress.com. Those themes can be customized through CSS, though that takes a little more coding skill. For a link to all of WordPress.com’s aesthetic themes, please click here.
