  Hello,
  I am considering to transfer my current website (hosted by Big Commerce) to WordPress and just created a free domain to get familiar with the backend.
  I purchased a WordPress theme from a third party and wanted to use it for my website. Can I upload that theme on WordPress without using Premium or Business Plan but using my existing Web Hosting?

  Can I upload that theme on WordPress without using Premium or Business Plan but using my existing Web Hosting?

  WordPress.com provides free blog hosting service and you pay/upgrade to a WordPress.com plan to unlock desired features.

  Uploading custom themes require WordPress.com Business plan.

  Also have a look on 100+ WordPress themes. You can sort themes by clicking the links for Trending, Popular, and Newest at the top of the page, and you can filter those results for Free or Premium.

  Hi @orleansinternational. You can definitely transfer an existing domain to WordPress.com.

  However, it sounds like what you are really wanting to do it to keep your existing host and install self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) there.

  This forum is focused on WordPress.com – sites that are hosted directly with WordPress. If you are wanting to host your WordPress install at your current provider, you will find more specific help on the forum specific to wordpress.org self-hosted installs. The names are very similar, but the forums are different. :)
