upload themes

  im new using wordpress, i want to ask how to upload a new themes into wordpress

  im just bought theme from themeforest and then i want to upload into my wordpress site, i confused because i did not find ‘add new’ button in my themes menu

  can somebody help me please

  Welcome to WordPress! In your admin dashboard go to Appearance – Themes and you’ll see an “Add New” button in the upper left hand corner. After clicking on Add New, you’ll see an “Upload Theme” button in the same position. Clicking on that will give you the option to upload the full .zip file you got from themeforest (you should see “If you have a theme in a .zip format, you may install it by uploading it here.”).   The above advice is bogus

  You can’t add third party themes at WordPress.COM – you are limited to the over 300 themes provided by WordPress.COM – get your money back

  @aharmonp – please research your answer a bit before giving real bad advice that will not work here and only works for a WordPress.ORG install – your answer will only confuse and frustrate the OP

  You cannot install any custom theme or any third party theme into any wordpress.COM hosted blog and there is no upgrade that changes that. You and aharmonp are both confusing WordPress.ORG software with WordPress.COM hosted blogs.

  There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you want to hire a web host go to http://wordpress.org/hosting first and then set up your own WordPress.ORG install.

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
