upload TheTravelTheme

  i have downloaded TheTravelTheme (zip file) from http://thetraveltheme.com/download/
  but can’t find a upload option on wordpress.com. i have my blog on wordpress and want to change the theme and i like TheTravelTheme very much. Can you please advice how to upload the zip file? Many thanks, Melanie

  You cannot upload any zip files into your free hosted WordPress.com blog. There is no FTP access to WordPress.com free hosted blogs. The only versions of the themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are found here in your dashboard > Appearance > Themes and showcased here > http://wordpress.com/themes/ You cannot build your own theme here nor can you upload any third party themes.

  Also note that we WordPress.com bloggers cannot install any plugins. Those are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

  Bottom line: There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access, the ability to install plugins, third party themes and software into free hosted WordPress.com blogs. For a comparison see > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
