Upload tool missing!

  Hi people,
  The blue bar with the picture upload tool under the text box
  on the ‘Write New Post’ page is missing. All that is there right now is the ‘Optional Excerpt’ and ‘Trackback’ bars.

  Any ideas? Heeeelllppppp!

  Hi again,
  I just updated my mozilla firefox to version 2.0 and this seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks anyway!

  Stuff like that occasionally happens. What we usually recommend is clearing out your browser’s cache and doing a forced reload of the page in question.

  hi drmike,

  i am facing the same problem and things are not working out even after clearing up the browser’s cache…. whats a forced reload….?

  Hi dr mike,
  I am also having the same problem of upload tool missing..even after i clear the browser cache (Ctrl & f5)the upload tool does not appear.My OS is windows XP.Pleaseeeeeeeeeee help me with this.

  Do you have some sort of security or adblocker program in place? It’s an iframe and those are usually blocked by them.

  Hi dr.mike,
  Yes i do have a pop up blocker. But till yesterday i could se the upload tool after i clear the catche i dont know why today i cant see my upload tool.is there anything i can do.

  Try turning it off and reloading the page. Those programs are usually setup to autoupdate without you having to run them.

  Hi ,
  I turned off the pop up blocker as u said and reloaded the page but i still cant see the upload tool.Have been trying from 3 days but not working.
  Is there any other option to upload images?I tried the insert image in the editor but that did not work too.

  Latest issue has been McAfee blocking the uploader. If you’re running that or another security/ virus program, make sure that you include wp.com in your allowed sites and not to block adverts if that doesn’t work.
