Upload wordpress blog from localhost to myblog

  Hi,

  I created a blog with wordpress.com. Now I want to move my localhost content from Webmatrix software to this new blog. Can I get any help regarding this?

  Unfortunately, due to security reasons WordPress.COM blogs are unable to accept Webmatrix FTP uploads.

  If you wish to have complete control over a blog including using WebMatrix software, one option is to hire a web host and get a free software install from WordPress.ORG and self host it.

  Hi Pcosta,

  Thanks for reply. I am new to web designing. Actually I build my whole site by custom themes in WebMatrix. Now I want to transfer all content online.
  I dig out in Google. Many people says to use XAMPP, WAMP etc. But Now I had already built in WebMatrix. So I have no Idea what to do??
  I have below two questions:

  1. Is it possible to transfer all contents from WebMatrix to online? (I can buy hosting service also. Thats no problem)

  2. In future which is the best software to build wordpress websites on local computer, so that migration is not an issue?
