Uploaded audio files display / link problem
-
I have purchased two space upgrades so that I might upload audio files directly to my blog. Up to two days ago, I have been able to upload them so they can be played (and podcasted) without any trouble. Now, when I upload, all that is displayed is the following:
[audio http://itsabentworld.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/watchful-part-1.mp3%5D
I’ve followed the instructions on the “Audio” page about uploading and checking the “None” button and still receive this.

You’ll see the last two uploaded files have embedded players while all the previous do not. I want these last two (and the others I’ll upload) to look like the first set, i.e., no embedded player.

I’ve just adjusted this for you.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Thank you! I don’t think I did anything differently this time than I’ve done in the past but could you remind me how to upload these just in case?

Not sure what exactly happened by the last two items were wrapped in an audio shortcode, showing the audio player.
Instead you can follow these instructions on how to create links to mp3 files, or any other custom link.

I just tried to upload another audio file and I had the same issue. The instructions you sent me won’t work because I’m not linking to another online location but uploaded a file from an MP3 player.

I’ve just fixed the link for you in that post. Though I think there might be a bug. I’ll report it to our developers and contact you as soon as I know more about this.
