Uploaded Image Cannot be Seen on Blog Site

    Hi there, Can someone please offer some help with an image problem? I posted a photo to my blog and I can view it when I am in my account. A friend told me that they cannot see the image when they access my blog. When I enter my blog page as a visitor I see the image but if I refresh my screen at the site, the image disappears. What to do? Thanks.

    Please post the link to the image in question.
    Without seeing what’s going on we can only speculate.
    Which browser and version of it do you use?
    Which browser and version of it does your friend use?

    im gessng your refferig to the ‘The Badlands’ image on your current post. If so i can not see it either.

    Rename the image so it has no spaces in it (make it all one word : CompressedBiker.jpg)

    Delet the current one from the album and edit the post, re upload the image from the image upload section of the post, and select send to post, and then the usual settings of whether you want to link to the original, other site or nothing. Save and publish it and try to view it again.

    Drop a note here and i’ll have another peek

    Edit, just had a peek, and it seems that you havent uploaded the image properly, the link for the image (http://harleygrl.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/compressed-biker.jpg) says ‘file not found’. So just try reuploading it again

    Yup i can see it now :)

    They probably are DrMike, that answer was the first one i thought if since its the usual culprit. However when i looked at the source for the image and tried to view it directly i got a file not found image, which to me says it borked during the upload. So it could be either or both lol.

    File names wise though, just out of habit i usually use all one long word, with the seperate words given capital letters. Since not all browsers handle ‘-‘ properly.

    Totaly off topic, but, good look on your 5000 mile bike ride >.< my butt hurts just thinking about it lol. Definatlly have to keep an eye on your blog to see how your suffering…errr enjoying the trip :P

    I’m wondering actually that it may be restricted. We had a thread over on the wpmu support forums for mu admins recently where it was noted that you couldn’t do a blog with a – mark and we were discussing if that should be supported or not.

    We were hoping to get Donncha to weigh in on the subject and maybe explain why they were removed but we never heard back.

    I’d have to do digging for the correct RFCs but I have a bit on my plate currently.
