Uploaded photos
-
I just tried to upload a photo, and after I did I saw that not only was the photo within my group of managed uploads not the one I just uploaded, but other photos I had (of places I had traveled to) were replaced by album cover art of albums I do not possess (and did not upload). Of course, support is currently unavailable, and not willing to leave well enough alone, I deleted all of them. Still, I can’t help but wonder if anyone else has experienced apparent corruption among their images? Strange. http://likeashepherd.com/

I wouldn’t delete anything if I were you. You don’t know what’s a dashboard phantom and what’s real corruption; the only thing that matters is what shows on the blog.
Send an email to support at wordpress dot com with all the details. Support will open in a couple of hours anyway, so you could simply wait it out if that works for you.

Thanks! As I kind of alluded to I did get rid of the images (I really didn’t need the ones I had really loaded anyway). Your idea makes a lot of sense, as the pictures in the blog itself seemed OK. Besides seeing photos that I had not placed there (and when I clicked the thumbnails they did expand to a larger size), I first became aware of the problem because I had just uploaded an image of a graph, and it came out as (someone else’s) map. I will report all this to support. Once again, thanks.
