  Hi there,

  i use the free version of wordpress for a journey-blog. I used to upload pics and paste them in a blog. when it was online I deleted the pics I used because I don’t want to have so many pics uploaded and because it’s limited in the free version. so far the pics could still be ssen in the blog online although I deleted it in the “upload section” but now i have got pictures when i delete them in the “upload section” there are also gone in the blog. Why did it work so far with all the pics and now it doesn’t anymore?

  Hi Stefan,

  Once images are deleted from the upload section, they are gone. But currently, the direct web addresses to the files might continue to work for up to a few days, as they are cached. Cached files are temporary copies automatically created to speed up the loading of your site. The deleted images appearing on your site were probably cached versions rather than the original versions you uploaded.
