Uploaded Theme

  When I am in my wp-admin dashboard I can’t find my uploaded theme. I uploaded using Filezilla and i have placed the theme in the “/public_html/test/wp-content/themes/” area. Am I missing something. From tutorials i’ve seen, it’s like my dashboard is missing a tab for installing or managing themes.

  WordPress.com does not allow users to upload their own themes. That is a feature only available to self-hosted WordPress.org blogs.

  I’m not sure which site you uploaded your theme to but it will not be one with a *.wordpress.com address.

  Ok, thank you for clearing that up for me.

  So now I’m wanting to move my domain away from wordpress.com. I went to my dashboard and in the domains area told I want to change hosts. There I changed my name servers to be the ones hostgator gave me. Would this be sufficient or do I have to also change the registrar (won’t let me do until 60 days of owning the domain).

  Changing your name servers to point to HostGator is all you’ll need to do.

  If, after 60 days, you would like to transfer your domain name to a different registrar, you can do so by following these directions.
