Uploaded too Large of Background Image, Is now glitching and stuck

    Hello,
I am encountering an extremely frustrating issue with my site’s background. I had this site working fine for many months, until I went and uploaded a photo that was somehow 36 megabytes to use a background for my header (just my header)… it took forever to load, but upon finally loading – the home page looked great and still does. But the other pages, despite the photo background not showing up in editor, are STUCK with the entire page filled with the “grapefruit” background.

I go and delete the background, I upload a new one – nothing will turn it back to the way it was. It’s like the backgroud on all of these other pages is just stuck. And weirdly enough, it doesn’t even show in editor too. Only when you test the site out or to anyone visiting. It is a hideous background for the site as a whole, you can’t read anything, text colors don’t match anymore, and seeing as it only shows up when visiting the site… I am assuming this is a glitch on WordPresses part. Not mine.

Please let me know how to fix this issue. I also just uploaded an entire new page today and fixed a whole lot of other stuff with text color, etc.
And of course, not one single response from support, WHICH I PAY FOR!!!! *anger*

When your own programming is the issue at hand, you better damn well respond in a timely fasion. Now my website which I JUST launched a store on is going to be errored all weekend and I will lose sales. Unbelievable.

Please fix this immediately or tell me what the error is.

I even had deleted the entire image from my media collecton in word press, and it still somehow exists on the site. That makes absolutely no sense. Clearly something has errored here, and I am not happy about it. Fix this ASAP.

    Hi @borealislabsmn,

I’ve noticed that you received support through the support center regarding the background issue. All your pages now have the same background image. Please let me know if the suggested edits worked for you or if you encounter any issues.

In the meantime, you can learn more about template and pattern edits here:=

    Hi @borealislabsmn,

I noticed the grapefruit image is still showing up on your pages—it’s coming from your site’s Header.

To remove it, go to your dashboard → Appearance → Editor → Patterns → Header. Click on the header area, then open the Settings tab in the top-right corner. Under Block, click the Styles icon (the little circle), and from there, you’ll be able to remove the background image.

I’ve included a screenshot below to help guide you.

With your WordPress.com Bussiness plan you have access to our live chat via our Help Center, enabling you to connect to a Happiness Engineer who can work through this with you if you still have an issue. More details can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/contact/

Let me know if you were able to update the header image or if you’re still running into any issues.
