Uploaded videos will not play

    I have uploaded videos to WordPress via my jetpack account and all I see is a video icon (instead of a video thumbnail) and nothing will play. I have tried AVi and WMV formats but it made no difference. Has anyone else come across a similar issue?

    Hi –

    Are the videos added to the “test posts” that I see on the front page?

    I’ve not managed to get those loaded yet.

    The debug tool we use for Jetpack sites doesn’t want to work either – Is the Jetpack connection on the site active?

    Try disabling it, then reinstalling that plugin and see if the videos will work.

    The issue is occurring before I embed them to a webpage.
    The videos I am trying to upload are not working after they are loaded to wordpress.com or into my media library.
    According to the activity stream on the wordpress.com user area, Jetpack is connected to the site.

    Hi jamesmcm11,

    The Jetpack connection for primalpluscommunity.nz is working now, so any changes you made appear to have done the trick.

    It sounds like the videos are not loading in Media Library on WordPress.com. Could you also check whether the same thing happens in the WP Admin interface at http://primalpluscommunity.nz/wp-admin?

    I’m just trying to see whether the issue is specific to WordPress.com or occurs in both places.
