Uploaded wav files but can’t see them to play
-
Hi. I bought the space upgrade because it reads like you can upload wav (i.e. good quality) files and then people can see them on the blog and listen to them.
But I’m starting to get the impression that the only files that can be uploaded and played within wordpress are mp3 (i.e. inferior quality) files.
Is this true?
Having paid for a lot of extra space, I’d like to think I can have my wav files on my blog and that they will be playable from within it.
Thank you for any help you can offer. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but only mp3 audio files can be played on the WordPress audio player. This is a Flash limitation. See here (third bullet down) > http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/#additional-info
WordPress.com provides 30-day refund on all of our upgrades except Domain Registrations and Domain Renewals. You can request the refund yourself directly from your Dashboard. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/#refunds

You can google “audio file converters” if you cannot save as MP3 from your audio program on your computer and then upload the MP3 version of the files. There are some freebees out there that work pretty well.

Your best bet would be to convert these files. MP3 is probably your best bet, seeing how its the most universal.
You could always post a link to the WAV and have your readers download the file, then they can listen to it.
Best luck.

Thanks for all your replies, and sorry I took so long to reply myself. I have added new pages and attached links to the wave files on them, and it seems to work.
When you click on them they play in a player, although I’m not sure which player it is.
Anyway, I’m sorted!
