Uploading a .AVI Audio / Video File
-
I can’t seem to upload a .avi audio/video file on to my web page site. Please let me know how to do this. Do I have to pay for the premium upgrade to do this or am I just missing something. Also, if I get the 14 day upgrade and then cancel, do you yank the file so my readers can’t access it?

You can upload audio files to your site if you have the WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plan. These plans allows you to upload .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav files to your blog. You upload the file to your blog’s media library. There is an embedded audio player built in to WordPress.com that will work with .mp3 files.
.avi files are video files. See here:

I don’t have a definitive answer but I would assume the answer is yes.

Time Thief –
Thanks so much. After working and working, I just paid to upgrade to Premium. The file is successfully loaded and working on my site. This was very important to me as I’m attempting to share audio files and/or power points with audio so others can benefit from it. I appreciate you taking the time to help. :) -
Glad to hear your site is up and running.
Also, if I get the 14 day upgrade and then cancel, do you yank the file so my readers can’t access it?
We do not. When an upgrade expires you would no longer have the ability to add new audio of video files to your account, but the published ones remain available to your visitors.
