Uploading a Custom Header Image In Goran
-
Hello,
I’m attempting to upload a custom header image in the Goran theme. In the Customizer I select the section Header and then Add New Image. I choose an image of a sun setting over a vast cityscape that I previously uploaded to the Media Library.
After cropping the image it appears in the Customizer side bar on the left side of the page, but it does not appear in the header of my blog site. Instead the red default banner remains.
I find it quite easy to upload a custom header image in other WordPress themes, but I have never done this successfully in the Goran theme. Please help me determine what I need to do to upload my custom header image.
Thank you all in advance for your help.

Hi!
The Goran theme doesn’t display the custom header image on blog pages (your homepage currently) or on individual blog posts. Can you try creating a page as described here? The header should display there:

Jeremey, thank you for the kind suggestion. I successfully created a page, and the header displayed there exactly as I was hoping. Awesome.
But this leads to a new question: How do I designate the new page (including the custom header image) as my homepage?
Thanks again for taking the time to help

Jeremey,
Thanks for finding the answers to my questions. In hindsight it definitely should have been possible for me to find these answers, but I’m glad you were friendly enough to respond. You have my gratitude.
