Uploading a Custom Site Title and Tagline
-
Hello:
I’m using Gridspace for my blog and want to be able to upload a custom site title and tagline using 3 different colors. I have the css font and color upgrade but see that I can only use one color on both. Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – the title and tagline can only be a single colour each, due to the way all WordPress themes are coded. Sorry about that!
As an alternative route , you could create a graphic header with your site title and tagline laid out in any colours you like, and upload it under Appearance > Header. Header images in your current theme should be 1050 wide by 500 pixels high.
If you need further help, just let us know.

Thanks very much for the advice. I tried that last night and thought the title looked too big, but I’ll give it another go and see if I like it.

Keep in mind that even though you have 1050 X 500 px to play with for your header graphic, you can have your text use only use a portion of that space – the rest can be empty.
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you—I decided to go with a small site title and tagline. I noticed that one of the examples of a gridspace blog that wordpress uses (http://jen-spec-industries.com) has a site title that she has uploaded. When I tried that the font was so small, I could barely read it. How do I make this bigger?
Secondly, how do I the urls for share buttons? I want to put some at the footer of my blog and use some custom icon buttons I’ve downloaded.
Thanks Again!

I’d suggest experimenting with the font size to get something that’s readable. To give you an idea, this is the size of the graphic used on that site:
It gets resized a bit after uploading, but it’s still pretty legible. You could try experimenting with different graphic sizes that are smaller than the suggested 1050 X 500 px and see what kind of effects you get.
I’ll reply separately about the sharing buttons.

If you’d like to add your own sharing service and icon below each post, there are instructions here:
Replace:
…with the full path to the image that you’ve uploaded to your media library.
If you’re just looking to add a general “follow me on Twitter”-type icon, you can use a text widget placed in one of your footer widgets.

Thanks very much!
Now I have another problem. I have three black bullets (in a row) that have popped up in my header over my about and contact links. Any idea what this is and how to get rid of them? They just appeared. THank you again!

Howdy Lillian, your header looks fine for me and I don’t see any bullet points when viewing your site in Safari: http://cl.ly/image/2q1L032u333o
Are you still experiencing this issue?
