uploading a custom theme to wordpress hosted by dream host

  I am hosting my wordpress site with Dreamhost, but can’t upload a custom theme I bought though themeforest. I uploaded the zip file from theme forest via ftp but it will not open a zip. what gives?

  You are posting to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with sites not being hosted by WordPress.com. This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/ If you have not registered a WordPress.org username account yet you can do so on the top right hand corner of the page I just linked to so you can post to those support forums.
