Uploading a personal picture as the background for one of my pages.

  Hello! I am trying to upload one of my pictures as the backdrop for one of my pages. I go to customize but I am not finding a way to add a custom upload background image option. How could I do this? Thanks.

  Did you follow the steps outlined here: https://wordpress.com/support/themes/custom-backgrounds/#setting-a-background-image ?

  If there’s no option to select a background image, it might have something to do with your site’s theme. If you let us know what theme you’re using, it will be easier to figure this out.
