You can have a single gravatar image for a single username account and it will appear associated with every site your register under the same username account.
A wordpress.com account is a gravatar account. They are one in the same.
Note that gravatar/blavatar (favicon) images do not show up instantly after uploading them. Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change.
Dashboard → Settings → General
Replace “http://INSERT_NAME_OF_BLOG” below with
the actual name of your blog in the URL
http://INSERT_NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
Do not keep uploading!

To enable Gravatar display and hovercard display on your blog go to > Settings > Discussion and scroll way done the page to “Avatars”.
