uploading a theme

  wordpress will not let me upload a theme i have downloaded onto my desktop. i paid for this theme and i want to use it. Help me upload it

  Hi there,

  Using your own theme is not an available feature with WordPress.com sites.
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/

  And while Premium themes are available for purchase, those themes would already be listed and activated within the admin panel of your site once the purchase is complete – not downloaded onto your desktop and uploaded to your site.

  It appears that the theme you purchased may be intended for use on a self-hosted WordPress.org site. The difference between the 2 WordPress versions is explained nicely in this article:
