Hi there!
It is not possible to install plugins or widgets on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins and widgets can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:
For any features on WordPress.com, the support page will explain how to set it up.

Hi, I though so, Thank you so much for your help. I want to be on wordpress.com, less work and easier to concentrate on the content. I dont need it but if you in the future, get something for youtube and or vimeo that would be wicked! Thanks for a quick response.

I’ll pass on the idea! I’m not sure exactly what you want to see, but you can use any of our shortcodes in our Text widget.
Here’s info on integrating Youtube with your site:

And here’s info on Vimeo:
Both types of videos can be added to your sidebar with direct links to the video or videos you want to play.
Let me know if I can help further!
