  I’m trying to upload a word document as my blog post. how do I do that?

  For consistent results it’s preferable to type directly into the WordPress.com post/page editor but if you really must copy/paste from Word then make sure you use the Visual Editor. https://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/
