Uploading an oversized image, and KEEPING it oversized
-
I understand, for the most part, image constraints on a site like this. Essentially, you want the image to be as large as it needs to be, while the file size is as small as it can be without loss of quality. I get that.
I have one image where I need to be able to post it in its entirety. It’s 4000×2000, but the thing is, it’s a map, and to reduce it in size renders it useless for its intended function. What I really wanted was a way to upload the map as-is, and for the viewers of the site to have to scroll from left to right to take it all in. For an ordinary image this would not work, but for a map, I need to be able to render it this way.
Is this possible? And if so, how?

Hi there, you can insert the image at a smaller size which will serve as a “thumbnail” which then links to the full size media file when clicked.
