Uploading an xml file, error says it's not an xml file

I’m trying to import my Xanga archives and I downloaded the files from Xanga, but when I try to upload them to WordPress I get this error:
Import Xanga
The file is not an xml file. Please see instructions for downloading and using the Xanga backup file.

Yeah I followed all the instructions on that page already which is why I came to the forum.
Is there a problem on my end or on WordPress’s?

Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually.
If you continue to have trouble with your import, please try a different browser. You might also try the WordPress importer rather than the Xanga-specific importer.

Ahh thank you! I’m pretty sure it was the browser as I went on FireFox and it worked fine.
I’m assuming Internet Explorer has trouble with the WordPress Dashboard.
