uploading audio

  I have some audio files that I listen to and sound perfectly normal on my computer, but when I upload them onto my site they play in a fastforward mode that makes the voices very squeaky and impossible to understand. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

  It has to do with the encoding of that audio file. It is a known fact that if they are not encoded with a high enough bitrate (44 or 48), they can sound like a chipmunk audio file. I would try encoding that file with a different bitrate as too small will not work in flash audio players like the one here at wordpress.com.

  Yes, that’s an encoding issue. You will have to convert them using an audio editing program. If you’ve got one that can do it, it isn’t complicated.
