uploading audio files

  To whoever might be able to help – –

  I bought the space upgrade in order to play audio files and they’ve uploaded fine but rather than showing the wordpress audio play icon to play it from the blog it requires the file to be downloaded first. The files are all mp3’s so there shouldn’t be a problem… any ideas??

  thanks for your reply. i’ve entered the code [audio http://blog etc] and the audio icon is now visible but it says the file can’t be found!

  Post the URL of the audio file here in the forum. Typically when this happens there was a problem with the upload.

  That is not the correct URL. The URL has to end with .MP3. Try:
  http://becausetheworldisround.wordpress.com/2009/04/05/come-what-may/01-honey-darling-baby1.mp3 instead

  Nope, that doesn’t work. Did you by chance remove the audio and re-post it? The only URL that will work is the one ending with the right suffix, like .mp3

  I have a similar problem…

  I have uploaded my audiofiles to a separate website, and everything works as it should in mozilla, but it doesn´t work in explorer, it just says ‘file not found’.
  and when I type in the adress to the file in the browser, it asks if I want to download it.

  how do I fix this? I mean, I want other than people who use mozilla, to be able to enjoy my blog too…
