We can’t offer help without a link to the blog, starting with http, so we can see what might be happening.

Try resizing your image before you upload it to the precise dimensions of your theme’s header: for Misty Look it is 760 x 190
The re-size (crop) function on the header up-loader is broken.
Also, give the re-uploaded file a new name. If you upload with the same name, wp will add a number after it and that gets confusing.

Thanks, 1tess. Support fixed it for me… evidently even if you have the appropriate dimensions, if the file size is too large, WordPress has trouble with it!

Hi! I’m having the same problem and its with Mistylook as well. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks :)

What size it the uploaded file? See the instructions above. Also, tell us what the new header is supposed to look like.

I’m having the same problem with mistylook and ambiru. Is the cropping function going to be fixed soon?

Since it has it seems been broken for about 6 months or more, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Size the header to the exact size prior to uploading it. Why rely on wordpress to resize crop and resize your image? The quality won’t be anywhere near as good as if you did it yourself in an image editing program.
