uploading divi must have business account

I am trying to upload the divi theme to create a new site which will replace my old site. WordPress says I must purchase a business account to be able to upload themes. Is this new?

Hi @integralt2 — Yes, you do need the Business Plan to upload custom plugins and themes. This feature wasn’t available a while back, but about a year ago, WordPress.com then offered the availability for uploading custom themes and plugins. You can still choose from the various themes WordPress.com offers, by going to: My Sites > Themes. Learn more about Uploading Custom Themes: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/

– If you want to upload the custom theme to your site then you must be in the business plan as business plan allow a user to upload the custom theme and install third-party plugins.
