uploading documents

Since Friday, I am unable to upload a document. I can upload pictures. When I upload a document, it does not get sent to the editor. But, the pictures do. What’s up??

If thery are then you will have to wait until support hours tomorrow and send in a support request to staff using this link http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ unless staff monitoring these threads help you before then. -
I have uploaded the same types of files as of Thursday. No problems at all. Just on Friday through today I have not had success. The “Editor” does not work.

I noticed that there were image uploading problems last night when it came to blog headers on one of my blogs. I have no specific information with respect to documents and support is not open until tomorrow.

I’m also assuming the files you are trying to upload are not huge. -
Right! I have tried everything. My pictures will upload and publish just fine. It is just the word documents that will not work. I contacted support this morning. No response yet.

Every PDF and most of the Word Docs that I try to upload will not appear in the editor either. Iget the slow crawling color bar showing that it’s loading then nothing. Then, “page cannot be displayed” or something similar appears. I have sent two notices to support and have yet to hear anything.

Staff I think is pretty busy right now and this may or may not be related to some of the upgrades. Since you are uploading .doc’s and .pdf’s, take a look at the three points below – #2 and 3 in particular since we’ve already established the file types you are trying to upload.
(1) Be sure the file you wish to upload is one of these file types – pdf, doc, ppt.
(2) Do not use anything in the file name except letters and numbers; no spaces, no punctuation no dashes or underscores, or other special characters except for the dot between the file name and the extension. Also make sure the file name has an extension.
(3) The maximum size for a single file upload is around 8mb without the space upgrade. http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/09/09/how-big-a-file-can-i-upload/ With the space upgrade, the maximum single file size you can upload is about 75mb. If you need more storage space, you can see the options in the “upgrades” page in your dashboard.

Everything is now working. I did not change anything. Must have been just a glich in system for a while. Thank you!
