Uploading files

    Since raising my site I have been uploading our local club’s newsletters without a problem. I understood from day one that htm files could not be uploaded but by renaming the file to a doc all was well. Unfortunately I now find that these files cannot be uploaded meaning that apart from archived newsletters the site will be redundant. Is there any way of me hosting our newsletters?

    Can anyone help me with this please?
    It presently looks as if WordPress just will not allow any htm file to be hosted even if the title has been disguised by changing the suffix from ie. htm to doc
    Up until January this year WordPress was allowing these files to be hosted on my page, so something has definitely changed.
